GUARANTEED DEPOSIT

Now it is God who has made us for this very purpose
and has given us the Spirit as a deposit,
guaranteeing what is to come.

Partly to make you homesick and keep you focused on what is to come, not what you see here. How do you know something better is coming? My Spirit, your guaranteed deposit, assures you. My Spirit bears witness that a wonderful future awaits you beyond this world!

How do I know Your promises are true? How can I believe in someone I've never seen or touched? Because I have Your Spirit, Lord - my guaranteed deposit, my down payment, the One who lives inside and testifies to Your goodness. Lord, You give wonderful dividends.
